Great Fire of London/ Tân mawr o llundain
The Great Fire of London 1666 is the class topic this term. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this topic and have enjoyed using quills to write their work, learning facts about Samuel Pepys and much much more. The class have also learnt about how different the fire service is in this day in comparison to the old fire service.
The children are now looking forward to a class trip to Tenby’s Tudor Merchant house.
Other curriculum news.
The children have been engrossed in our weather topic due to the recent storms that Wales have been encountering over the past couple of months.
As a result, we have done a lot of research on wind and why and how hurricanes are formed. We have investigated rain by learning how rain sits in the cloud until it is too full and then precipitation occurs.
This term we have been learning all about halves and fractions, and time. There have been numerous activities gong on, pupils have been clocks, pizzas and cake!
